Frequently Asked Questions

What areas in Florida do you serve for winter boat hauling?

Our Fort Myers-based Florida boat hauling service regularly serves marinas, storage yards, and launch sites across Southwest Florida and the wider state. Common routes include Fort Myers, Cape Coral, nearby inland communities, and frequent runs to other parts of Florida and the Florida Keys.

Can you handle longer-distance or out-of-state boat transport?

Yes. In addition to Florida boat hauling, we often coordinate longer-distance and out-of-state transports, including coast-to-coast routes from California to the Northeast. Tell us your pickup and delivery locations in the quote form, and we’ll confirm what is possible and how soon we can schedule it.

What types and sizes of boats can you haul in Florida?
In Florida, we haul both powerboats and sailboats. With our hydraulic trailer, we can safely transport vessels up to 20,000 lbs, 34 feet in length, 11 feet in beam (width), and a maximum height of 13’6”. If your boat is near any of these limits or has a unique setup, submit your specs in the quote form and we’ll confirm the best and safest transport option.
Do I need my own trailer, or can you provide one?
We can move boats in two ways. If you already have a suitable trailer, we can haul your boat on your trailer throughout Southwest Florida. If your boat is not on a trailer, we can provide hydraulic trailer service for qualifying sailboats and powerboats up to 20,000 pounds.
Can you pick up from marinas, storage yards, or private property?
Yes. We routinely handle marina-to-marina moves, storage yard transfers, and customer pickups. When access allows, we can also help with backyard extractions or tight residential locations. Use the notes field in the form to describe your ramp, driveway, or yard so we can plan the best approach.
Do you offer longer or overnight runs, like to the Florida Keys?
For the winter season we do offer select longer hauls, including demand-based runs to and from the Florida Keys, especially for racing sailboats. Availability depends on timing and routing. Include your pickup and delivery locations plus your ideal dates in the request, and we will let you know what is feasible.
How far in advance should I book Florida winter hauling?
Because our Florida operation is seasonal and capacity is limited, we recommend reaching out as early as possible for moves between January and April. For peak windows and longer hauls, contacting us several weeks in advance gives you the best chance of getting your preferred dates, but we do our best to accommodate short-notice and last-minute requests when the schedule allows.
Are you insured for boat hauling in Florida?
Yes. Our winter Florida hauling service is fully insured, including cargo, liability, and on-hook coverage. We treat every vessel as if it were our own and rely on professional equipment and procedures to reduce risk throughout the move.
What information do you need to provide a quote?
The more detail you share, the faster and more accurate your quote will be. At a minimum, we need your contact information, boat make/model, length, pickup and delivery locations, and your preferred timing. If you can also provide beam, approximate weight, whether the boat is on a trailer, and whether ramp service is needed, we can confirm eligibility and pricing more quickly.
